Riding a bike is a fun thing to do in Pokhara. The rental fee is only Rs.200 a day (for a basic mountain bike). While paragliding is a really popular thing to do (around $110 per flight, I think), riding a bike is a much more affordable activity.
I didn’t have a map and I didn’t look at Google map, so basically I just went around the lake and see how far I could go. Not really far though, as June was pretty hot. But I gladly saw the free birds with parachute in the sky.
For people who look for a relaxed time in Pokhara (other than sitting by the lake), this is close to perfection. I stopped at the first village that I saw, called Happy Village (I forgot the real name).
It’s truly a peaceful place, not necessarily clean, but quite pleasant to get to the countryside!
The trip is not challenging, as the only challenge would be finding a good bike to rent, and also the rocks that might fluctuate your tyre. When you get back to Pokhara, you can sit at a restaurant with a lake view for sunset!
