In Stockholm. I needed a place to store my luggage after leaving my Couchsurfing host’s home, but before I took the cruise to Helsinki. So here’s a quick tip on luggage storage. Instead of paying 60-90 kr fee at the train station. Go to Ahlens, a department store just outside Centralen T-bana. A locker is only 20 kr there! Only 20kr!
WHERE
The baggage room is on the second floor of Ahlens.
COST
For any size, it is 20kr per locker.
(Updated: The price has increased to 35kr/70kr according to other traveler. So it’s cheaper to store your luggage at T-Central now.)
SIZE
There are various lockers the baggage room. So for big or small luggage, it is all 20kr. But even for the big one it wasn’t possible to fit two carry-ons into one locker anyway.
OPENING TIME
You will need to keep in mind their opening time is 10am to 9pm. You need to collect your bag before they close.

And if it is not good enough to save 40kr, you can use their toilet and charge your eletronics for free here!

Ahlens offers a fantastic service. The staff are extremely helpful and even returned our lost property to England when we accidentally left some behind.
Been there today and I had to pay 70sek !!
Those lockers are now 35 or 70kr depending on the size.
So if you have a big luggage go to t-central, it’s easier and cheaper.
I only had a cabin luggage, the employee told me it was “big” and pressured me into using a big locker
If they are now charging 35kr/70kr then it’s definitely more convenient + cheaper to leave luggage at T-Central.
Too bad that Ahlens changed their prices now :/
