The 4th of July Experience in Oslo (Frogner Park)

In Frogner’s park, I had one of those aha! moments. There were a lot of people and games. At first I thought it was a summer party, and then the balloons made me feel it was a celebration of something.

It seemed really fun and exciting! Though I had no idea what it was all about! And there was a game Instant Win that you spin their plate to win small, medium or large prize with only 10kr.

Then I realized it was a celebration of 4th of July! Wow! They celebrate this in Norway too?
And then I started to feel the American touch in each stall. It was really fun! There were some game stalls, a pony ride, a softball game, a stage with performance, and food stalls such as hot dogs, burgers, ice cream, bakery, sausages etc. It was very nice!

And I really felt like being in America in that atmosphere. Though I wasn’t sure who hosted it or who was it for, whether the Norweigian in the USA or the American in Norway. It was a very friendly place to hang out and people there seemed to be more friendly than elsewhere.

And Frogner park is just next to Vigeland park. If you can be there on the 4th of July in 2016, it will be a great experience 🙂
