Saint Petersburg in 3 Days- My Suggested Itinerary

My trip to Saint Petersburg was truly special. Because of the sanction against Russia’s invasion to Ukraine, the currency in Russia has become at least 40% weaker since 2015. So it was a good time to visit Saint Petersburg in terms of price. And Saint Petersburg as a city has a lot to offer. It is romantic (yes!), historical, glamorous, and grand.

For my budget read: Backpacking in Saint Petersburg- Travel Expenses for 3 Days]

(okay…in short, the cruise to get there  was $90, and the travel expenses in Saint Petersburg was around $90, so that’s $180 altogether)
Here’s the itinerary I followed (or wish I had followed, actually)*.

Saint Petersburg in 3 Days- My Suggested Itinerary

Day 1

Except for taking your luggage to where you stay, you can actually walk for the attractions on day 1. It looks like a busier day but it actually isn’t. Both St. Isaac’s cathedral and Spilled Blood Church can be viewed in 30-60 minutes. This leaves you time to check out shops and cafes, or even to take a canal boat tour!
10 a.m.–Arrival
Tip: I started my trip with St. Peter Line’s ferry. I did not need a visa for 72 hours, and you’ll not need one either because of the 72 Hours Visa Free Rule.
11 a.m.– Leave my luggage at the hostel
12 p.m.– Lunch

Near the Spilled blood church, try the Russian style cafeteria.

And then wondering around Nevsky Prospect. Check out some souvenir shops or cafes.
