Let me tell you where and when to take the shuttle bus to IKEA.
So, before going to the IKEA in Oslo, I tried to look for information of the bus scheule online. Unfortunately the schedule doesn’t seem to be online. But this is what I saw from the bus stop in Oslo.
LOCATION
The location of the bus stop is quite close to Oslo S. Here is how you walk to the bus stop.
Or just ask anyone when you are out of the train station, that’s how I found the bus stop anyways. People who live there all seem to know.
TIMETABLES
And about the schedule! (Only as of August 2015)
Basically, there are two IKEA stores in Oslo, one is called Furuset and the other is called Slependen. And so you will find a shuttle bus to either of the stores every half an hour (at the clock or half hour past the clock).
The bus ride is for 15 minutes to Furuset and 20 minutes to Slependen.
There are four time columns, the first two on the left (Til) is the bus schedule to IKEA, and the two on the right (Fra) is the schedule from IKEA.
And then you can see two timetables, the Hverdager one with less rides is the timetable for weekdays, it starts earliest at 10:00 to IKEA Furuset. And the Lordager one is the timetable for Saturday (I think IKEA is not open on Sundays), as you can see the earliest ride then starts at 09:00!
What I like about IKEA is that, for example, IKEA Furuset closes at 9pm on Saturday, but the last bus actually leaves from IKEA Furuset at 9:40pm! Isn’t it very thoughtful and convenient?
*There is free WiFi on the shuttle bus!
Enjoy shopping!
Why there is no connection with google maps to locate the buss station from anywhere in Oslo?
This is quite an old post. I’m sure there are more up-to-date info out there?!
